When I became a mother, I experienced first-hand the joys and challenges of breastfeeding. I still remember what it feels like to sit in those early hours, exhausted, in pain, unsure if my baby was feeding well. I'm here because I know how much the right support, at the right moment, changes everything. I'm Vanessa - a Lactation Consultant, Registered Midwife and Tongue-tie Practitioner, with over 15 years of experience supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and infant feeding. I worked in a busy London NHS Trust for nearly a decade, and I now work across Bristol and Bath, both with the NHS as an Infant Feeding Specialist Midwife and Community Midwife, and privately. I offer a holistic assessment in the comfort of your home. Each consultation includes a written report covering your concerns, my assessment, and a personalised care plan that is achievable for your family. I also offer unlimited follow-up via WhatsApp - so you always have somewhere to turn.

Antenatal Preparation

A 1:1 discussion in the comfort of your home on how to best prepare to feed your baby. This will be tailored to your family's needs and will include care of your baby in the early days. This visit usually lasts 90 minutes.

Postnatal Support - First Consultation

A home visit to support you in your feeding journey. Visits usually last at least 90 minutes. This includes unlimited ongoing support via WhatsApp.

Postnatal Support - Follow-up

Follow-up visits are charged at 75£ per hour

tongue-tie Assessment and Division

If you suspect or have been told your baby has a tongue-tie that is contributing to feeding difficulties, an oral and feeding assessment should be carried out by an experienced infant feeding specialist. As a qualified Tongue-tie Practitioner, I can diagnose tongue restrictions and offer you skilled feeding support. I am part of a small team of tongue-tie practitioners that offers tongue-tie divisions at home. Contact me to know more!

Video Consultation

Antenatal Preparation and Postnatal Support are also available over video call when a home visit is not convenient for you.
